9th Banphe Samed Island Festival

At Samed Pier, Banphe, Rayong, Thailand

The activities have been planned as all day/night event. During the day, outdoors, beach and cruise trips as nature conservation awareness, while sports and other activities to promote local businesses are the major focal points. Night activities have been geared toward culture and entertainment, local businesses promotion, and seafood and local cuisine. Each year, an outstanding seafood dish is selected to be food of the year. For this year, "Grilled Chuk-Hue," which is known to be one of the most delicious fish dish that can be found only in the Banphe area, was selected to be the 9th Banphe-Samed Festival Food. This year’s activities includes all the past festival activities plus first annual photography contest of the sunset scenes at "Lan Hin Kao" (white rock beach), and writing contests in both Thai & English of trips’ experiences to Banphe and/or Samed Island.
